Elisabeth Vaneveld

Elisabeth Vaneveld is a strategist, project leader and process facilitator with extensive experience in the cultural, community and public sectors in New Zealand and Australia. I have worked in the cultural sector for over thirty years and have developed and led many projects across a wide variety of disciplines, scope and scale. A professional facilitator, I also have considerable experience in group work and organisational development. My strategy work is focused on building capability within organisations to support long-term sustainability and success.

For ten years until April 2006, I was Manager: Northern Arts Services, Creative New Zealand. Currently, I am the first Executive Director of The Big Idea Trust, a national organisation intent on driving arts-led creativity into all sectors of New Zealand society. The Trust’s major project is also New Zealand’s largest on-line community in the creative sector: www.thebigidea.co.nz Through TBI Assist, the Trust’s consulting arm, I am the Programme Director of ART Venture, a one-year acceleration programme for creative sector entrepreneurs working in the Auckland region; I am leading a multi-talented team in the design and implementation of the programme for ART (Arts Regional Trust). I have a deep interest in adult education and creative, sustainable business development and have a Masters in Management (Strategy) from the University of Auckland.
