Dimi Nakov
Dimi graduated South Seas Film and Television School with a Diploma in Film and Television Production majoring in Documentary Directing in 2008.
During his studies at South Seas, Dimi did work experience on Wheel of Fortune, New Zealand’s Got Talent and as an assistant director and camera operator for Alt TV.
Since graduating South Seas, Dimi has Feature film credits as director of photography on Journey of a Story (Released on Anzac Day 2012 in New Zealand).
Dimi has also worked on numerous commercials, music videos and shorts films. He has also scripted, directed, shot and produced a series of corporate training videos for Coca Cola Amatil NZ.
In 2011, Dimi directed and produced three shorts films, "Playmates", "BlindSide" and "The Psychologist", which are all currently being submitted to Film Festivals world wide.Also he directed and produced two music videos for a New Zealand Band "DEVILSKIN".At the end of 2011 one of his music videos ‘Running Far’ by Broken Season that he directed and produced in 2010 was screened at the AllShorts Film and Music Video Festival in October 2011.
An award winning documentary filmmaker, Dimi’s short "Lockie and Love" won him the Documentary Winner award at the Filmaka Competition 2009.
His short documentary "For Alan" was a finalist at the 2010 Wanaka Mountain Film Festival, was nominated for Best Documentary at the 2011 British Independent Film Festival, and screened at the 2011 Heart of Gold International Film Festival in Gympie, Australia.
Also his short "BlindSide" has been accepted to the Cannes Short Film Corner, as part of the 65th Festival de Cannes 2012 ."BlindSide" and "Playmates" are Officially Selected for the 7th Cyprus International Film Festival 2012.

Dimi Nakov graduated South Seas Film and Television School with a Diploma in Film and Television Production majoring in Documentary Directing in 2008. He also completed several undergraduate papers in Film, Television and Media Studies at The University of Auckland.
