InfoProjects, Bussum (NL)

Front-End Web Developer  May 2007 - September 2010

  • Designing websites that conform to the WCAG with a main focus on accessibility
  • Building dynamic websites (XSL/HTML/CSS/Javascript(Jquery)) that conform to the Dutch equivalent of the WCAG standards, with a main focus on accessibility

InfoProjects (IP) is a company that builds web applications for intranet, internet, knowledge management and e-learning. All the applications are based on the Content Management System IPROX. IPROX is a self developed flexible intuitive CMS. As a Front-End Web Developer at IP, I designed and built dynamic websites powered by IPROX. IP’s clients are mainly governmental organizations, therefore their websites have to be accessible to people with disabilities. This means the Front-End Web Developer has to meet the Dutch ‘Drempels Vrij’ standard (equivalent to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and ensure that the interface is user-friendly and logical. IP’s websites can be viewed on any platform (including most handhelds) using any (popular) browser.

Triade,  Lelystad (NL)

Web Coordinator/Designer/Photographer June 2006 - March 2007

  • Coordinating the intranet and internet projects
  • Designing intranet and internet sites
  • Working on the helpdesk for the internet and intranet sites
  • Designing for print (including posters, agendas and flyers)
  • Photography for print, intranet and internet

I worked for Triade through Ruwer, an Amsterdam design agency. Triade is an organisation that “gives care where people and their surroundings need it”. Triade has 1700 employees that offer their service to 1500 clients. The clients are people from a wide age range and all with a different care need. In 2006 Triade completely rebranded. It was my job to restyle the intranet site and design and built the front end of their website. I coordinated the content contributions for both sites. I also contributed to a few of Triade’s magazines with photography and designed several posters and flyers.

Delta Lloyd, Amsterdam (NL)

Coordinator Migration Project May 2005 - December 2005

  • Coordinating the inventory of hardware and software

The Migration Project at Delta Lloyd was based around the updating of all the computer hardware and software within the company. As Delta Lloyd Amsterdam has 2600 employees and deals with delicate client information (insurances and banking), the migration was a big project in several phases. It was my job to plan, coordinate and administrate the inventory of the hardware and software. I also coordinated, in later phases, some of the testing and the distributing of the new hardware and software.
