Charline Akif
I moved in New Zealand for widening my knowledge and skills about event industry overseas in the so-called cultural capital: Wellington.
Until now, I have experienced working in event management (more likely in cultural industries) in France and in the United Kingdom. Every time, whatever were my responsibilities I kept a very narrow link with the target audiences who are the core of any companies I worked for.
I often had to deal with the delivery of events which includes managing all aspects upstream, during the event and downstream: planning, managing teams, arranging equipment, recognizing issues and coming up with solutions, evaluating…Achieving event objectives (such as meeting deadlines and staying within budget) while we exceed audiences’ expectations is a challenge that really motivates me.
Working for diverse companies taught me how to carry out my duties in fast changing environments and I know that the strong organisational skills and the flexibility I gained are essential for being a valuable asset in an event management team. I am hard working, open minded and enjoy challenges.
