Having studied for 3 years I gained a BA in Design Studies with a minor in Film and Media from Otago University at the end of 2006. Following this I moved to Auckland and began working as a graphic designer/mac op at Outer Aspect, a lenticular and security printing company, for 2 years. While there I moved up the ranks quickly and got myself in a position where I was entrusted with overseeing entire projects and working closely with R&D in developing new designs for future security printing endeavours. From there I lived overseas for 1 1/2 years. It was mostly travel and menial jobs but I still managed to do some illustration and design for clients back in NZ as well as overseas. Since being back I have entered an interesting phase in my career where I am focused on illustration. My work has varied from character design and animation for a new payroll company to character design, illustration and animation for an iPad/iPhone app. I have also designed and illustrated a series of characters for a well known brand in NZ due to launch next year.

I am an illustrator based in Auckland. Having worked in the design field till recently I found a greater sense of satisfaction in illustration, a skill I have had since early childhood.
I have a love for character based illustration and comics, while also being absolutely fascinated with early tourism posters.
I am constantly trying to improve and increase my skill base as I believe if you aren't improving you're simply existing!
