What does artificial intelligence see when you share how you feel?
OpenMind is a public art exhibition at Silo 6, Wynyard Quarter, Auckland, on 20 and 21 June 2026. Entry is free.
Every artwork on display was generated from a real person's emotional journal entry, written through the EmoEx Mental Health Companion's FeelLog feature. Moments of grief, calm, tension, joy, isolation, connection. Each one transformed into a unique visual work, and shown with full user consent.
This is not about diagnosis. It's about reflection, conversation, and finding a new way to see what can be hard to put into words.
Visitors are invited to move through the works at their own pace, in a setting designed to be calm, accessible and thoughtful. A selection of artworks will also be available through an online auction. All proceeds go to Youth in Transition, a New Zealand charity helping young people at risk find their way back to a life worth living.
Following the exhibition, EmoEx and the AI Health Innovation Hub host the AI in Mental Health Forum on Thursday 25 June at Auckland Hospital, Grafton. A focused one-day programme for clinicians, researchers, policymakers and digital health leaders.
OpenMind is presented by EmoEx.
