Kid Sister, an upcoming Greenstone TV production for TVNZ OnDemand, is looking for a social media star who would like to learn more about screen publicity and promotion.
As well as learning traditional television publicity responsibilities, this role will have a particular focus on social media content creation and execution. The successful applicant will work with a mentor and the Kid Sister team to develop and implement a social media publicity strategy across multiple platforms, as well as the collection and creation of content assets throughout production.
Hands on experience in the film and television world is not essential but we are looking for someone with an interest in the arts and how to promote them and connect with audiences. We want a switched on, passionate, frequent user of social media who is excited about joining the team.
The applicant should have a good working understanding of audience connection across a range of contemporary platforms – Instagram and Tiktok experience are a must. Experience in photography and video creation are valuable. Some editing and/or design skills a real plus.
Applicants must be available from Monday 17 January on a part-time basis through till late March.
This paid opportunity offers on-the-job training including mentorship from a senior screen industry PR practitioner under the A to Z of Screen Publicity programme – a collaboration by Script to Screen and the Aotearoa Screen Publicists Collective which aims to increase representation amongst screen publicists.
The successful applicant will be paid a fee of $12,000 (NB: rates and time commitment will be negotiated with the successful applicant).
Apply before 9am Monday 20 December 2021
The A-Z of Screen Publicity Programme is funded by NZ on Air.
