Karangahape Road, Mercury Lane & Cross Street, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland
From 12pm | Ticketed programme from 4pm | R18 from 5pm onwards
Cross Street Music Festival returns on Saturday 28 November, bringing together some of Aotearoa’s most exciting independent, underground and emerging music for its biggest edition yet.
Now in its eighth year, Cross Street is expanding beyond Cross Street, spilling out across Karangahape Road, Mercury Lane and the surrounding precinct for an afternoon and evening of live music, art, installations, performances and unexpected things to stumble across.
Free, all-ages music, art, installations, performances, activations and tamariki activities across Karangahape Road, Mercury Lane and Cross Street.
From 4pm, the ticketed Cross Street Music Festival programme kicks into gear, with R18 restrictions applying from 5pm onwards.
Cross Street has always been about discovery: come for an artist you know and leave obsessed with someone you’d never heard before.
This year’s festival artwork has been hand-painted by renowned Tāmaki Makaurau artist Tanja McMillan, aka Misery, and depicts The Magician, a Major Arcana tarot card associated with manifestation, personal power, resourcefulness and turning ideas into action.
Independent by nature. Connected by community. He wāhi, he tāngata, he kōrero.
