Te Ūranga - the landing place - is a celebration of Ōtautahi Creative Spaces and our new home. It symbolises the transition from the studios we had for our first ten years at the Phillipstown Hub, to the standalone light-filled studios at 12 Aberdeen St which offer us an incredibly strong foundation for the next ten years and beyond. The exhibition reflects what is possible when our creative community finds solid ground. The sky's the limit!
Te Ūranga features work by 26 artists, many of whom are exhibiting for the first time.
Ōtautahi Creative Spaces is a Christchurch creative community of people who've experienced mental distress and trauma and uses the power of creativity to transform lives. Exhibiting is a vital part of our work, and a brave step that helps people see themselves in a whole new light - as artists.
