Mō mātou | About us

Font Tauranga Public Art Trust was formed by a group of locals with a commitment to make Tauranga a more vibrant, interesting and invigorating city to visit, live, work and play. Our goal is to commission and give a significant body of public art to Tauranga city centre over the next decade. We aim to deliver a world-class collection of exceptional contemporary public art that enriches the experience of living in Tauranga Moana. Our first project was “Rauhea” by Peata Larkin in Red Square that was revealed at a dawn naming and blessing ceremony on Nov 15, 2024. Our second artwork "Common Unity" by local artist Paul Darragh is currently progressing and due to be revealed late 2026/early 2027.  The Northern Quarter artwork will be our third project.
