He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your programme management experience with your understanding of te ao Māori to deliver quality public art to Aucklanders.

  • *Ensure all projects are hitting their milestones and budgets, as well as forward planning for new opportunities.
  • *Work closely with the Manager Public Art, a range of internal and external stakeholders, operational staff and contractors.  
  • *Refine portfolio management systems, tools, and processes and imbed continuous improvements.

 

Joining the team that drives arts and culture public art activities across the region, you’ll apply programme planning nous to plan and support the public art work programme across the Tāmaki Makaurau region. 

 

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

We are looking for someone with the demonstrated ability and experience in:

  • Programme management and planning of high value projects
  • Resource management, procurement, budgeting, communication and collaborative teamwork across multiple projects
  • Understanding of the arts and culture sector is beneficial for the role, but not essential
  • Lead continuous improvement and change with regards to financial practices and investment decisions
  • Leadership ability, ensuring accountability within the team regarding project milestones and deadline.

 

Your understanding of te ao Māori and understanding of Māori interests within Tāmaki Makaurau, plus passion to apply and grow your understanding of te reo, tikanga me ngā mātauranga Māori will be highly valued.
