Mahi | The Role

Are you a natural storyteller, strategic thinker, and marketing innovator who thrives on connecting people with meaningful experiences?

Te Atamira, Tāhuna Queenstown's arts and cultural centre, is seeking a Communications and Marketing Manager to lead our communications, marketing, brand, and audience engagement activities.

This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping the public voice of Te Atamira and sharing the stories, people, programmes and creative experiences that make this place extraordinary. You will develop and deliver strategic marketing and communications initiatives with your own creative flair that grows audiences, supports residents, artists and strengthens community connections; supports earned revenue, and enhances Te Atamira's profile as a leading arts and cultural destination.

Working across a dynamic environment, you'll be equally comfortable developing strategy and creating content, managing campaigns, engaging with media, and identifying new opportunities to expand our reach and impact.

Ō Pūkenga me Ō Wheako | Your Skills and Experience

You will bring substantial experience in a communications, marketing, brand, or audience development role, along with:

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project and time-management abilities.
Initiative, creativity, and a proactive mindset.
Experience across digital marketing, social media, content creation, media relations and stakeholder communications.
Understanding of te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
Experience engaging with diverse communities and creating culturally inclusive communications.
Ability to communicate with authenticity across a range of audiences and cultural contexts.
Confidence using audience insights, analytics, and emerging digital tools to drive engagement.
Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Experience supporting fundraising, sponsorship, philanthropy, donor engagement, or campaign-based revenue generation would be an advantage.
