2028 Season – Ideas and Partnerships.

At The Court Theatre, we believe in the transformative power of live performance. As Ōtautahi Christchurch and Waitaha Canterbury’s premier destination for theatre, we bring bold, inclusive storytelling to life in a state-of-the-art venue designed to foster creativity and connection.

Here, every performance is an invitation to connect—whether it’s your first time in the theatre or a return to a beloved tradition. We strive to make The Court Theatre a welcoming home for all.

2028 Season – Ideas and Partnerships

The Court Theatre is seeking expressions of interest from playwrights, directors, independent producers, and artists.

We’re looking to collaborate with artists who have bold, original and compelling ideas for our 2028 season — from new plays in development and fresh takes on existing work to producing partnerships that expand what’s possible in Ōtautahi Christchurch theatre.

If you’re unsure whether your idea or project fits an opportunity, we encourage you to get in touch.
