About our organisation

Karanghape Business Association is collaborating with local artists under the guide of Nayesha Mulholland (Ngāti Uepohatu, Ngāti Porou) to deliver a free outdoor event for Tāmaki Makaurau.

Programme Overview

Tēnā koutou katoa,

Ko Hiruhārama te marae, Ko Ngāti Porou te iwi. I whānau mai ahau ki Ōtautahi, engari, ko Karanga-a-Hape tōku kainga. Ko Nayesha ahau. Mauri ora!

With support from the Karanga-a-Hape Road Business Association, we are preparing taonga toi for the Matariki celebration period across Karanga-a-Hape Road i tēnei tau.

Nō reira,

We are inviting Māori artists to submit an expression of interest for art installations to be part of this year's celebration along Karanga-a-Hape Road, taking place on Thursday 9 July.

As Haratua approaches, we are organising for Matariki and Puanga, making sure we feel connected and engaged as a community, in ways that are tika and pono for us all. This is a chance for us to move through the new year in a way that feels tau, that feels nourishing for the stars, our whānau and ourselves.

This kaupapa is open to artists working across all mediums. Shout out if you live or work around Karanga-a-Hape!

Submissions may include existing works or short proposals for new pieces created specifically for this period (being mindful of the timeframe).
