Mō mātou | About us

95bFM is more than just a radio station. It’s an icon of Tāmaki Makaurau independent media and has championed New Zealand music, news, culture and ideas for nearly six decades.

Broadcasting since 1969, 95bFM is Aotearoa New Zealand’s longest-running independent student radio station and one of the country’s most important platforms for emerging and alternative voices. From Karangahape Road, we broadcast 24 hours a day across Auckland on 95FM and stream live worldwide.

Music sits at the heart of what we do, alongside news, current affairs, arts, culture, interviews, specialist shows and live performances. The station is powered by a small staff team and a large community of volunteer DJs, presenters, journalists, producers and creatives.

The 95bFM Breakfast Show sits at the heart of the station, bringing together music, interviews, news, regular features, live guests, humour and the unexpected every weekday morning, and setting the tone for each day on-air.
