Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
Reporting to the Head of Advancement & Business Development, this role is the operational backbone of the team, providing essential administration, communications, data management, grant management and event support across fundraising, donor relations, corporate partnerships, grants, membership and events.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with fundraising or arts sector experience who enjoys writing and working behind the scenes to support meaningful relationships, high-quality donor stewardship and the long-term sustainability of a leading cultural institution.
This is a full time, permanent role and the person should availability to work some evenings and occasional weekends for exhibition openings and events.

He kōrero mōu: About you
- You will be an organised and detail-focused professional with strong writing skills, sound judgement and a genuine interest in the arts and Gallery sector.
- You will be confident working with sensitive information, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable supporting a team that works across fundraising, donor engagement, events and partnerships.
Ideally you will also have:
- Experience in a fundraising, advancement, donor relations, partnerships or related role.
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly, warmly and professionally for different audiences.
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM/database platform
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with EDM, email marketing or invitation management platforms
- Financial literacy sufficient to support monthly reconciliation and work effectively with Finance
You will also be able to (or be willing to learn) to pronounce and use basic te reo Māori in emails, meetings and conversations, and understand and value the use of tikanga where appropriate.
