Children's After School Art Teacher

We are a provider of high quality short courses for adults and children, based at Selwyn College in Auckland. We offer over 800 evening and weekend courses and about 8,000 people attend classes with us.

After-School Art Teacher Wanted – Create, Inspire, Develop! 

We are looking for a passionate art teacher to run engaging after-school art classes for children, one afteroon a week with a holiday programme an option. This is a wonderful opportunity for a creative, experienced educator who would love the freedom to develop and deliver their own exciting programme for 2026 and beyond.

The ideal candidate will be fun-loving, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with children. You’ll be confident developoing and planning age-appropriate projects, introducing a range of  ideas, techniques and materials, and nurturing creativity in a supportive, encouraging environment. We’re looking for someone who can balance structure with imagination — maintaining clear guidance while allowing children to explore and express themselves.

It would be preferrable to have experience teaching art to children, with classroom management skills, and the ability to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child feels inspired and valued.
